This is the finished drawing of my newest project! I'm quite pleased with it and I hopefully you can tell who it is! Here is a break down of the processes that the drawing went through :) I hope you like it!

Breaking Dawn Part 2!

Wow! On Friday, I went to see the final twilight film and it was absolutely amazing! I had heard from interviews that their was a twist so I was quite worried as to what this would be! But after seeing it, the twist made it so much better. As this is a music blog, of course I am going to talk about the music! As always, the music they had was beautiful. In Breaking Dawn Part 2, one of my favourite songs used in the film was 'Turning Page' from Sleeping at Last, and 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri. 'A Thousand Years' was at the end of the film, but slightly different at the beginning and it made me cry! I loved how the opening credits played Bella's Lullaby and, from what I could hear, there was some background music used from the first film which I really liked because it sort of linked them together. If you haven't seen it yet, I would seriously recommend it. For me, it was so much better than part 1 and is one of my favourites out of the 5 films!

One Direction - Take Me Home!

Seventeenmag!

So on #ManicureMonday i tweeted a picture of my cherry nail design to Seventeen Magazine, and they retweeted me. And more than that they even put my picture on Instagram! I was very excited and it has received over 5000 likes which is crazy! Seventeen Mag's Instagram: @seventeenmag

The Vamps!

Major youtube discover! I stumbled upon their channel and they are amazing! The Vamps are a group of 3 boys who have done covers of Conor Maynard, Justin Bieber and One Direction, and they are so good I can't stop listening to them! They put their own spins on songs, they don't just copy which I find a lot of people do. This is their cover of Little Things by One Direction:

Teen Awards!

Sorry it has been so long, I've been very busy recently! A lot of you may know about Radio 1's Teen Awards, and I have been very fortunate in getting tickets to go! I'm very excited because it includes music and also awards for celebrities and teenagers who have been nominated by their friends and family for over coming illness, or being inspiring etc. I can't wait!

Songs I'm listening to!

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of songs that have been out for a long time, but I still just love to listen to them! I've been watching a lot of One Tree Hill (which I love) and I've been listening to most of the songs that feature on the show like 'Halo' by Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley) and 'When It Comes' by Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller).
I've also been listening to a few Robert Pattinson songs! He is actually a very talented musician and some of his songs feature in the Twilight Sagas.  

Olympics!

Is anyone else LOVING the Olympic hype? I'm watching the Closing Ceremony now and it's so good! Really makes me proud to live in my country. I am a Directioner so loved it when they came on, and George Michael - what a legend! I hope everyone is enjoying these Games and is looking forward to the Paralympic Games like I am! :D

Square Knot Wrap Bracelets!

I made some bracelets today that were really easy to make and look really nice when you have lots stacked together! I found out how to do these from YouTube (click the link) and they are so easy and fun to do! Whenever I go on holiday I love to buy these at little stalls, but I decided to try them myself!

 

Nail Art!

So here is one of my non-music related posts (although it kind of is)! I love doing nail art because it's really fun and you can do loads of really cool designs that are quite easy to do! This is a picture of a design I did on my nails today which I love! I got it from a tutorial by cutepolish on youtube and I think it looks really cool! Cutepolish has loads of other tutorials that are really pretty and easy to do. I used Instagram for the edit, and Picfx for the cute little hearts :)

Leona Lewis to RAP!

Yeah, you read that right! Leona Lewis has said she will be rapping on her new album. I'm not too sure what to make of this due to the fact that Leona is famous for her powerful ballads, and I've never thought of her as a rapper! She says that she could go up against Nicki Minaj, but I must say I'm not too sure about that! Her new single 'Glassheart' will be out October 15th which will be a dubstep track! What do you think about Leona Lewis rapping? :)

Where We Used To Run

It has been ages since I have blogged! So I thought I should start it up again by telling you about Landon Austin! I came across him when I was watching 'tanyasvlogsandhauls' on youtube, and he features in some of her vlogs. He wrote a song called 'Where We Used To Run' and I love it! He has such a nice voice, and it's a really good summer tune!

I've just found out that Rita Ora (RIP, Hot Right Now) was originally offered the chance to record Cheryl/Calvin Harris' song Call My Name! She turned it down because she said it wasn't really her style and she didn't want to go down the dance route in her music.

If you are going to V Festival this year, it has been announced that Wretch 32, Stooshe and Beverly Knight have been added to the line up! I really wish I was going, because the line up is amazing, but unfortunately I'm not! Are you? :)

Capital Summertime Ball!

The Capital Summertime Ball line up has been released and the tickets are on sale! There is such a good line up this year, with acts like Katy Perry, Jessie J and Justin Bieber! Selena and Justin

Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Justin Bieber were watching the Los Angeles Lakers play basketball on Monday when they appeared on the court's Kiss Cam! The Kiss Cam zooms in on couples to make them kiss, and when it zoomed in on the celebrity couple they complied, but Selena said she was very embarrassed! I think they are a really cute couple! If you are a Simpsonizer, like me, please go and check out a new video that Cody Simpson has very kindly created and posted for a cover on his mixtape Angels & Gentlemen! The cover is of Calvin Harris' 'Feel So Close' and I love it! The video is made up of all pictures that fans sent in of them and Cody (not going to lie I did send in my drawing of him  (christinastoreyfashion.blogspot.com) but it wasn't used!) Cody does so much for his 'Angels' and I admire him for that because I don't know of any artist that does all this just for his fans, so thank you Cody!

Today, Cheryl Cole, or 'Cheryl' as she wants to be called from now on, has released a new single called 'Call My Name'. It was written by Calvin Harris, and I heard it on the radio for the first time this morning and I quite like it! It is quite different from what she usually does, but it's not bad! I am loving the new song by Fun called 'We are Young'! It's really different and I just think it's really good!

Another song that has been in my head all week is Boyfriend from Justin Bieber! I prefer the bridge and chorus to the verses but other than that I think it's good.

YouTube Favourites!

I love looking at videos on YouTube, and these are my top 5 channels (music and non-music related)/ Artists that I love to listen to!

5. MCMuddin - This channel does lots of remixes and my favourite one is 'Pirates of the Caribbean House/Electro Mix'. It's is remix of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme tune and its great for the car with the bass turned high!

4. pixie2woo/tanyasvlogsandhauls - The first channel is a make up tutorial channel by Tanya Burr. She has some really great tutorials and some really nice looks that are quite easy to do. Her other channel is a more fun channel, which she often does with her boyfriend, who is very funny!

3. boyceavenue - I know I posted about them last time, but I really like their channel, and all of their covers and their own songs are amazing!

2. skillzaisherebooya (Connor Maynard) - This is the channel he has for all his covers, and they are all so good, especially Next to Me (Chris Brown and Justin Bieber) and ET (Katy Perry).

1. CodySimpsonMusic - I know I am a Simpsonizer so I would obviously like his channel, but his channel has really good covers (esp. 'Taylor') and acoustic versions of his songs. Cody has videos on there from when he was much younger and it's really nice to see how far he has come and how much he has improved!

Songs I'm loving at the moment!

There are some great new songs out at the moment, but my favourite song right now is Boyce Avenue's 'Broken Angel'. I got into Boyce Avenue when they were the support act at a concert and I really liked them! They do really good covers on YouTube and I really like the songs that they write. 'Broken Angel' is one of their own songs and I like that there is so much meaning behind the lyrics. I am also loving Connor Maynard (and all of his covers!) His new single 'Can't say no' is out now, and I like it, but I don't think it really shows off how good his voice is. 'Broken Angel' --->

Finally! Cody Simpson's debut album is being released June 5! The Coast To Coast EP was released last year with six tracks, and I LOVE it! I cannot wait until I can get the full album because, as you may be able to tell, I am a 'Simpsonizer'! Cody has also said in a UStream that he will be coming to the UK in the summer, and he thinks 'Europe is fly'! Don't know about you but I will definitely be there rocking the GCF sign! NME Awards

Florence picking up one of her awards

The NME Awards was held at Brixton Academy on the 29th February and it seems as though Adele's lucky streak has ended as she didn't pick up any awards on the night, she was beaten by Florence + The Machine for Best Solo Artist and Best Track for Shake It Out of which she performed on the night. Kasabian won Best British Band, The Vaccines won Best New Band, and for any of you keen festival goers, Glastonbury won Best Festival! Rihanna - Singing To Acting

After making her acting debut in 'Battleship' (released in the UK in May) alongside Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna has said that for her next movie, she would like to do a Romantic Comedy, because she would like to try different acting roles and not just stick to one type. But for any Rihanna fans, she has ensured that she will never stop her music career!

In other stories, it is said that Katy Perry's rumoured 'new man' is in fact just her stylist Johnny Wujek!

V Festival!

 The line up for V Festival has been released! The Stone Roses are headlining the festival taking place on 18th and 19th August later this year, and many other artists such as The Killers, Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran, Ben Howard - who I am a big fan of - Pixie Lott and many more throughout the weekend. The V Festival director has promised all festival goers a 'cracking good weekend,' so if you want to be there make sure you get your tickets! The tickets go on sale on Friday at 10AM.  

The BRIT Awards 2012

With so many incredible wins, live performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Adele, I think we can say the Brits 2012 was an epic night! One Direction lifted their first ever Brit award tonight for their debut single 'What makes you Beautiful' and Ed Sheeran picked up two awards - British Male Solo artist and British Breakthrough act -  and Adele won British Female Solo artist and Best Album. In my opinion, everyone very much deserved their awards! Adele's performance of 'Rolling in the Deep' was my favourite performance of the night, a brilliant breakthrough from her surgery. A massive well done to all artists who won an award, commiserations to all who didn't, bring on The Brits 2013!

Number 1!

After Gotye was number 1 on the Big Top 40 with 'Somebody that I used to know' last week, who will make it to the top this week? Will Emeli Sande make it to number 1 with her new single 'Next to Me', or will DJ Fresh get the top spot with 'Hot Right Now'? I like Emeli Sande's new song a lot and I would be happy if it got to number 1! Please feel free to leave a comment on who you think should be Big Top 40 Number 1!  

RIP Whitney Houston

As you may have heard, the legendary singer Whitney Houston has died just 48 years old. Her music and incredible voice touched many people and inspired so many artists of today, and I am positive that her music will carry on being the worldwide classics they are now. Her powerful voice may have been damaged by drugs, but she will always be known as the legend that she was and still is.Thoughts go out to all of her family and friends who will miss her very much. #WeWillAlwaysLoveYou

UK Big Top 40!

So, David Guetta has done it again! 'Titanium', featuring Australian singer Sia, has reached number 1 for the second week! I think it's a great track, and Sia certainly has a powerful voice! Do you agree? Who do you think should have been number one?
Another track this week that I really like is Alyssa Reid's 'Alone Again' that is new in at number 4!
